FM-1: not connected

Connect

Plug the FM-1 in USB, running the SLICE64-FM firmware (s1.3 or later). Chrome or Edge, then allow MIDI SysEx access.

Transfer

Idle.

A song sent is stored in the FM-1's flash and stays after power-off. Samples go to their own flash bank (about 6 s at 32 kHz, 12 s at 16 kHz).

SID player

A C64 tune (.sid, PSID or RSID) to play on the FM-1: its three SID voices on tracks 1-3, the keys play track 4 (FM). On the FM-1: SEQ, then SEQ again, then PLAY. SELECT changes the subtune, K1-K3 the voice volumes, K4 the FM instrument. Firmware s2.8 or later (this page: s3.1 or later).
